TZATZIKI

Tzatziki (nwgr. τζατζίκι, pronounced /dzadz-iki/, tzatziki) – Greek dip (sauce), served as an addition to grilled, fried, baked dishes or served separately as a dip (the most popular appetizer in Greek cuisine). It can also be eaten with baked bread.

PREPARATION:

Coarsely grate the washed and peeled cucumbers. Season the cucumbers with ½ teaspoon of salt, mix thoroughly and set aside for an hour. After an hour, drain the cucumbers from the water, add Greek yogurt, grated garlic and salt to taste. Mix thoroughly and drizzle the tzatziki with olive oil.
